Baking in a wood-fired oven

Experience what it's like to bake bread in a traditional way in at the Open-air museum Hägnan’s cozy bake house. Smell the freshly baked bread, see the crackling fire from the oven and observe how the baker skillfully works with the dough.

Together we bake a soft bread called klådda in wood-fired oven, the bread is amazingly tasty and you can of course taste it and also bring some home with you. During our time baking the baker tells you about the old baking traditions and folklore surrounding the baking. It is said for example that the person that receives a lot of creases in their bread gets many suitors, who knows what your bread will tell you.
