Småskär
Småskär is a beautiful island in the Outer Archipelago. Parts of the island are a bird sanctuary. There are walking trails around the island, providing pleasant rambling. The chapel is worth a visit: it dates back to the 1720s and is the oldest in the Archipelago,.
Småskär is a multifaceted island with many bays, old-growth forests, rock slabs, tarns and interesting nature otherwise.
There are about 90 leisure-time cottages on Småskär, mainly at Bullerhamnsviken, Bolinsviken and the area around Kyrkviken.
The islands of Klyvan and Finnskär are just a stone's throw from Småskär. One way to reach Småskär is on the boat M/S Kungsholm.
There is a cottage on Småskär which may be rented for short-term stays and in summer a hostel. Luleå Scout Group runs the hostel at its scout hut on Vitfågelskär at the southwest corner of Småskär.
