In the protected bay there is a jetty (guest marina), grill sites and a tourist cottage open to the public. This is a good bay to moor a small boat. It is rocky in places, however, and it is recommended that you row or pole the boat the last stretch.
The view from the hilltop west of the bay is well worth the walk. The small tarn behind the bay is also worth visiting.
In spring, the bird population is intensively active. The species observed here include the Spotted Redshank.
