Pack ice adventures

When spring approaches the pack-ice starts to build up in the outer reaches of the Archipelago. Wind and weather combine forces to push giant blocks of ice together, piling them up into majestic walls. A close look at the pack-ice gives you an idea of the enormous forces that must have come into play.

There are a number of ways of getting out to the pack-ice, but later on in the spring it you must be really careful and the safest means of transport then is by boat.
