There are plenty of things to do besides fishing at Stora Stenträsket.

There is excellent hiking country around Stora Stenträsket. Exciting trails have been created and you can walk nearly around the whole of the lake, but only nearly, as there is a marshy area at the northern end. However, there are plans to build wooden walkways. Fires can be lit in designated areas near the lake.
Don´t forget the best activity of all - a sauna followed by a snow bath, a truly invigorating experience.
Only a short distance from Stora Stenträsket is the Ore Trail. In winter, this becomes a snowmobile trail with lots of interesting destinations for excursions.
