Outdoor centres

Centres of special importance, hardly matched anywhere else in the region, include the Råne River Valley, Persöfjärden, Gammelstadsviken and the Luleå Archipelago, all of which are listed as areas of national interest by the National Environmental Protection Agency. 

These areas are presented in more detail on the following pages, together with some other easily accessible areas of natural beauty. Most of the areas are nature reserves.
