The priest Albert Nordberg was well versed in history and deeply committed to the survival of the Church Town in the 1930s. Among other things, he worked to improve fire protection in the Church Town, and a new fire station was built in 1934. The building is today an information centre at the Rutviksvägen car park. There is an exhibition on Sweden´s World Heritage Sites. There are also toilets in the building. It is open in summertime.
