The land between the church cottages
The land on which the church cottages stand belongs to Nederluleå Parish. It is not allowed to plant flowers on this land.
Remember every year to clear away grass and moss right up to the foundations so that the ground level does not rise. If necessary, you can also carefully dig away the upper layer of turf. But if you need to dig further down, you must first speak to the archaeologists at Länsstyrelsen (the County Administrative Board). The entire church area is an ancient monument where there are traces everywhere of older church cottages and everyday activities connected with them.
