Loaned material

Loaned material is lent to schools and children´s activities above all within Luleå Municipality. The local World Heritage Site schools take precedence.

 


Gammelstad puzzle


A big wooden jigsaw puzzle to put on the floor. Shows a mediaeval map of Gammelstad and surrounding villages. Suitable for age group 7-12.

 


Treasure hunt


Discover the Church Town in an exciting treasure hunt. The hunt uses pictures of details in the Church Town which you are to find. An adult oversees the adventure using a picture folder. The treasure hunt demands some preparation, when question boards and the treasure are put in place beforehand. Suitable for those aged around 10-14.

 


Build a timber church cottage


Find out how timber cabins work by building a miniature church cottage in timber. Suitable for those aged around 6-10.

 


Loan box


How were boys and girls dressed in the 19th century when they were going to the Church Town? How did people travel from the villages in to Gammelstad? The bags contain dolls and figures. Work with the loan box before or after visiting the Church Town. The loan box also contains a file with written historical accounts, patterns for garments, factsheets etc.
